Biography:

Sebastian Giraldo graduated as mechanical and manufacturing engineer in the Universidad Autónoma de Manizales. Then, he did a diploma in maintenance management in the Universidad Industrial de Santander UIS and got a master degree in Administration (MBA) in the Universidad Viña del Mar (Chile) with emphasis on integrated management systems. He is TPM (Total Productive Management) Instructor certified by IM&C international (Sao Paulo – Brazil). He attended classes in renovation of industrial plants for a cleaner production (Kitakyushu – Japan) and in production and operations management (Toyota-shi-Japan). He is certified in:

• TPS (Toyota Production System) by TEC (Toyota Engineering Corporation, Toyota-shi Japan).
• HCMBOK (Human Change Management Body of Knowledge) Practitioner by the Human Change Management Institute.
• LEAN CULTURE practitioner ALFRA consulting Mexico.
• SCRUM master certificate and AGILE COACH certiprof

He has 15 years of experience as a maintenance engineer in food industries, several years as head of TPM and director of continuous improvement at MEALS de Colombia S.A.S, a company of the NUTRESA business group.

He is university professor of the postgraduate degree in maintenance management at the Industrial University of Santander UIS, TPM module and productive manufacturing.

Currently, he works as consultant and international speaker on operational excellence for the company Performance Solutions of Milliken (USA).

This year he won the ACIEM (Asociación Colombiana de Ingenieros) award for maintenance engineering and he is member of the ACIEM maintenance and asset management commission.
